Things that are, "Yay!!"

My little guy is going to have both of his front teeth in by Christmas!!! After everyone singing to him for YEARS, "All I want for Christmas..." He is finally getting them in and he looks so handsome!

{The back story on his teeth is that he had caries as a toddler (double horrible UGH). He had all four front teeth extracted while being tied down as a two year old. His front partial appliance really was nothing but trouble. The first one did not last, and we had to purchase a second out of pocket - which fit much better, but the summer before Kindergarten the dentist thought his teeth looked like they were just about to come in, so she removed the appliance in order for his adult teeth to come down unimpeded. Well, one and half years later and his teeth are finally coming in!! He's been four-front toothless for this long, my poor, poor sweet buddy!}

In school news - A's in my classes, woot!! No classes scheduled for Spring, because....I'm returning to work, hopefully 30 hours or so. I'm applying as an assistant's role in a local elementary, as well as an information referral specialist (they also handle the local suicide hotline), and I've always had my eye on the Optical field because of the demand, pay, training, and advancement opportunities. So that's where I'm at...we'll see what comes up. Those are my first three leads so far, and they all would leave me feeling like I accomplished something worthwhile at the end of the day. Also, I really just have to make a certain amount so that child care is paid for - super expensive-O!

My husband noticed that his work was upgrading the break area and he asked about the fridge. He scored a fridge for twenty dollars, payable to United Way!! Now he can start brewing beer again!!! Hop-tackular!! And more money saved!

I don't enjoy beer all that much...but I do enjoy watching him enjoy the pride in making his own craft beer and relaxing after a hard day with a hearty stout, or whatever he decides to make. Without the fridge, obviously climate control is a problem. For over a year we've been in places with no basements...and the occasional busting of a beer bottle has led him away from bottles and to the keg. So this year, it's going to be brewing with a keg safely in his new garage fridge, yeaaaah!!

Last cool thing today is the field trial of a touch faucet in venetian bronze. I've recently fallen in love with that finish and I really have been hoping to get a bathroom faucet to try in that color. We were able to choose the finish, and it's super cool that it's a touch faucet to boot! My husband added in my last text, that it just looks good when we try to sell the house...which we eventually will be.

"Focusing on the good" blogging is super fun, yo!! Because who wants to hear complaining? I know I don't.
